I think I’m with you in the “Cautiously Optimistic” department. Another thing we were told to expect is monthly game updates. They didn’t really say much about kits or packs, so maybe these monthly updates will just kind of be the few things they have for us, but don’t want to wait till a new kit is released to give it to us.

Also, project Rene looks verrry similar to Paralives. I legit thought for a second "did they just steal footage from paralives?"

I'm intrigued by the dentures as well.

Speaking as an older Simmer (who was already a grown-a$$ adult when the original game came out over 20 years ago) I'm hoping they do something to address the subtle ageism in TS4. All sim elders are wrinkled, saggy, clutch their backs, and are always at risk of woo-hooing to death, even with maxed out fitness.

I don't know about you guys, but that definitely does NOT describe me...and I can remember a time when man HADN'T walked on the moon.

The "Summit" definitely did not bring the hype it advertised. I'm standing quite firmly on the side of cautious myself. I see a ton of kits in the near future. One being all of the new elements in the short clip about babies. There are a few "new" items in the clip I feel they could sell us on in a kit. (*eye roll*) I hope the future of the upgrades and new items/stories will prove to be more exciting than the lack of what they gave us in their stream. (*fingers crossed*)

I’m uncertain how I feel about the new sims project. I am 100% excited for babies. And I’m thankful I watched the recording after the stream and fast forward the video because the summit was 75% fluff.

Overwolf isn't new for those who aren't familiar with modding through their app. Sims being added is new though. I usually use Overwolf/Curseforge for mods for Minecraft and World of Warcraft. It's pretty cool that EA is FINALLY making it easier to download and manage mods and CC.

Did anyone notice the video-tape in the box, could that be a reference to the generations pack from the sims 3?? that could also be linked to the teeth and the babies, maybe that's all going to be in one pack!

Thanks for being succinct. The livestream had a lot of seriously cringe moments. They filled it so full of unrelated stuff and barely touched on anything important. I got more info from your video than I did from the over-hyped marketing ploy EA put out.

I have two thoughts in reference to Project Rene cross platform compatibility.
First is that many phones are actually more powerful than many people realize. Second is that all modern PC games are designed with multiple “Levels of Detail”

By designing for both they can create the assets for the Pc then simplify them down for mobile

"Multiple platforms" means limited to phone friendly and mobile game predatory practices, as if the Sims isn't predatory enough already. If that is Sims 5 I'll be pretty sad.

Im excited for the new stuff, but honestly even after this most recent update, I (and lots of other simmers apparently) have had a huge buggy mess to play. From belted cardigan (base game) giving sims a nightmarish body glitch, to sims autonomously deciding to insult eachother, I’m seriously not interested in anything new they have until they fix their broken coding so that we won’t have to choose between cool new things and a playable game.

Ooh they seem to be doing a good job with making a new sims games. If you ask me they should put the colour wheel in The Sims 4.

Lots of simmers are undoubtedly excited for the baby update, I dread it. As a father of three I've basically _lived_ the "too many toddlers"-scenario, and all the babies I'd ever want in my life and then some. Babies as objects suits me perfectly.
