Nice Silver Wing. I’ve only seen a few used ones, usually with over 40k, one had logged over 100, 000.

Hi Quasi!
Should be a very cool video!
The Silverwing is a Very Cool Bike totally looking forward to seeing that one back on the road.
Those tires sure look different there's way more tread on them in comparison to the other ones!!
From what I've been hearing about people say about the City Grips 2, they are better all-around tires even when you are driving over sand and gravel.
They should make them for every kind of scooter not just limit the size because they would sell out of them!!
Looking forward to your adventure on the Silverwing should be a very cool video !!
John

You never mention the spacer that is on the outside of the rear swing arm that goes between the nut and the captured bearing that is in the swing arm. I had a Honda dealer not replace mine after mounting a new tire on the rim and they just tightened the nut without the spacer in there. I was riding from Colorado Springs to Redmond Oregon to the BMWMOA rally and had the rear axle nut go AWOL somewhere near Moab Utah. I felt a slight wobble in the rear. I had to "limp" the bike to Salt Lake City without an axle nut and eventuall had the bike shipped back to Colorado Springs wherre my truck and trailer were and I flew home to Philly. Ruining my trip to Redmond. In your video you never show or mention that spacer and may not even know it is there, but I assure you it is. It is about a half ince thick and might have been captured in the grease seal in your swing arm, but it is there. Check it out the next time you remove the swing arm.

I know you’re not a darkside guy but I put a Federal formoza fd2 on my Burgman 650 and love it. I can lean it until I drag the center stand and never once has it lost grip. Cost was about 1/3 and life should be around 20k. Did you ever get the Ryker to track straight or did you unload it? Stay safe and keep riding like everyone is out to kill you 😁

Love your content so much! I'm 38 years old and finally going through the MSF course in a few weeks and getting my first bike. I love your small bore content!! I'm kinda past the point in my life where the need for speed overrules my good sense I guess, so looking at smaller bikes. Any thoughts on the KTM Duke 200? They seem like they're plenty fast enough for what I'm looking for, and also they're a lot easier for me to wrap my finances around, so to speak. My other thoughts are Honda Grom and CB300R, though they seem more expensive up here in PA than the Duke 200...decisions, decisions....keep the small bore and scooter content coming!! Also, thanks for turning me onto Ride With Alex, been watching a lot of his vids recently and has me thinking about scooters hahahaha

Yep. The same here. $60 to mount a 12in tire. X2 $120. Hell. The total of the two tires wasn't $120. I said no thanks. I'll do it myself. All it takes is a few SOBs and MFs. Done! 🤣

like you say - pull that gas outta the bike - but then mix it with the gas in your car - little at a time - put fresh in the bike when you come to start it

So is that what the SCR rules mean by "Unit construction of engine, transmission, and rear swingarm?' The whole thing pivots at the same time?
