Today we seek to answer the age-old question!
Is Goku(Mid) actually mid?🤔

Maybe the most well fleshed out video on competitive BT3 on youtube.

27:20 There’s a fact about Babidi in Dbz bt3, if you do babidi’s ultimate it will do anywhere from 10-13k damage. But if you do if a grab then do his ultimate the damage increases. You can keep stacking it over and over again until babidi’s ultimate becomes one shot. The same thing will happen if you pick spopovich, do his ult then switch to babidi mid match then do his ult.

I came here looking for a simple ranking and left with the most interesting analysis and explanation of a fighting game

Love that you spent the first 20 minutes explaining all the mechanics in the game so we understand why each character is good or bad. Not a lot of tier lists for old games do that.

This should be the standard for intro videos to competitive fighters, especially unconventional ones like MvC2 and SSBM. A quick rundown of what makes the game competitively interesting, the modern rule set, and a brief summary of some of the more interesting characters to get people hooked and wanting to learn more.

I tried getting into UMvC3 a few weeks ago, and I probably watched 10-15 videos before I really got the gist of why the game is still so beloved 10+ years after release. If someone had said "it's fast and complex with a lot of character gimmicks and comeback mechanics" and then explained a couple S tiers and weird characters like Phoenix, Dante, Phoenix Wright, and Sentinel, that would probably be the go-to video for introducing ppl to the game. I'd love to know more about Nether Realm games too, but there's not really a great beginner community on youtube.

I never thought that Tenkaichi 3 had a competitive scene the more you learn I suppose.

Unrelated to video but potential detail for a future video.

In dbfz, all the numbered androids(meaning all but cell) have at least 1 super/ultimate, which has the number of hits equal to their number

Edit: additional details the "make me immortal" wish doesn't work on 16(since he's a robot)

Right. So NOT all 161 characters and NOT from Worst to Best. Gotcha.

"Ranking All 161 Characters in DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3"
*only ranks like 70 of them*

Great video! I've dabbled in the competitive community of BT3 and it's a great that this kind of knowledge is being spread! It really is surprising at times how few people know about so many of the vital things to the game, but I'm all for having these resources be in an easy to digest format that's fun to watch. Good stuff 👍

Also: I'd like to mention the fact that another reason why blaster wave is so good is because it builds a lot of ki upon succesfully hitting, which pairs well with characters like cell with strong 2 bar blasts 2s and is part of the reason why that particular -1 set-up paige showed off in cells segment is so good.

As well as that, despite the lack of flight being a downside for arale, it also allows her some really interesting flanks using the drop down that flightless characters have and her dash attack, allowing her to easily and more importantly, quickly flank at close range

You know, there's something funny about seeing people justify the lack of balance in Sparking Zero (and even outright claim that balancing the characters would ruin the game for them) by pointing at Tenkaichi 3 and saying the games have always been 'lore accurate'. Why yes, Burter is indeed stronger than SSJ4 Gogeta, how could I forget!

This video was awesome to watch. A full hour, 0 distractions. The information and characters were perfectly well presented. Everything clear. It's just great. I'm definitely subbing.

On the other hand, I can't believe how much I missed in my solo bubble when I was playing this game. I would say I was a great player, but things like the dashing pass through, or even more simple things like canceling a super dash with a double up to follow then with a resetted super dash... I had no idea about them. Competitive players are years beyond my grasp.

My "fav character" progression went like this:
1. SS Future Trunks
2. SS2 Teen Gohan
3. Mystic Gohan
4. Legendary SS Broly
5. Gohan SS2 (that explosive masenko is broken)
6. Future Gohan SS
7. SS2 Goku
8. Fasha (idk why I just really like the character and how it olayed on melee/supers).

Definitely my favorite character is Furure Gohan Super Saiyan. His attitude, his supers, his design... Even his melee is cool. Everything is of my taste and I love it. That one handed Kamehameha will never cease to amaze me. Legendary.

Honorable mention to Tapion, Future Trunks, all SS4s, Future Trunks (Sword) SS, Future Gohan, Devilman, SS Vegeta (Mid), another Vegeta (which I can't tell which one it was), Final Form Frieza, Mecha Frieza, Perfect Form Cell (didn't know he was the strongest but he did feel broken lmao), Kid Buu... And... That might be it, maybe. I'm missing many, for sure.

It's hard to believe a game so old still holds the gauntlet of best DBZ game ever made. BT2 is my pick for story and OST, but BT3 had a never ending cast of characters and the complexities and nuances of each and every character made this game basically an unending research for new tech and tricks to discover. I'm so glad I hot this game when I was a kid... I hope Sparking Zero gets at least to half of the quality of BT3, and I hope it's as good as BT3, if one can only hope.

Love to you all!
