Sadly, we only want to put the spotlight on breadwinners and not housemakers. The breadwinner always gets the final say in everything. When you are a homemaker (man or woman), you are automatically less valued and taken for granted. There's always this attitude of 'ghar pe kya kam hota hai?' That's why everyone wants to be the breadwinner because that person controls the direction of life. Healthy relationships are rare.

My father used to work but got very stressed and decided to quit his job. So, now he stays at home and my mother continued her job and looks after the expenses.

He cooks lunch, sometimes snacks, cleans the house, picks my sister from college and takes care of other small errands at home.
He watches serials in his free time and does some gardening.

He enjoys all this and loves that he gets to be at home and away from such a toxic work environment, while my mother earns for the family.

Why are some men so triggered? We are all humans with our own interests and needs and our biological gender has nothing to do with societal expectations and roles.

Change in mindset is required from both genders. When traditional roles are being done away with even the
responsibilities of modern women should change. Most women may not be comfortable with a less successful partner. The insecurity may be both ways. However I find most modern men very comfortable with their partners success since it often becomes a necessity in an expensive society.
