as a japanese fan i even feel kinda sorry for the girls for such weird rythmed lyrics.
i understand whoever made these lyrics really wanted to keep the theme/atmosphere/story of the original song and I also understand that the japanese language takes up more notes just to say one word compared to other languages but...this was way too packed. it's like theyre forced to rap within the melody lines.
they should reassign the japanese lyric writer.
despite the lyrics, every single member did good. even though im japanese i honesty dont think i can sing this even after 10 times listening.

Honestly... I dont know what to say... I feel like this doesnt fit all that well, as I initially expected😅 .. I liked the bridge and the ending part the most. Some of the lyrics seemed like they were just tossed in there, they barely fit the flow, so the members had to say some lines in a very unnatural way. Also, their pronunciation sounds kinda awkward ... Like for "mizu" or "watashiwo" .. Korean doesnt have "z" or "v/w" so I understand its a struggle, but theyve had awesome pronunciation in their previous Japanese releases, so Im kinda confused on what happened here.. Anyway, what I really like as well is the high note ("amai yoru")!! Whats really cool about it is that even though it isnt as powerful as in the Korean version, it sounds way more interesting and unique here because of the way our girls sing it. They start off high and confident, but then they take a twist and go deeper, slightly prolonging the note... Nice note shift! Gives off a very mystical and dreamy vibe!!! I dont know the correct vocal term for it.. But I think I have never heard someone execute high notes like that. Our vocal goddesses!!! Overall, Korean version still takes the crown for me, but this one has nice highlights nonetheless... Great job as always, ❤️
