Huh? Why are the cables so expensive? Copper cables are extremely cheap and silver is barely more conductive. I think my amp was 1800 bucks. I guess I'm not audiophile enough....

Just to let everyone know, a common 99% purity copper 14 gauge speaker wire will work just fine for anyone who wants to listen to music. Don't let stuff like this keep you from starting a hobby you otherwise might enjoy. This stuff is just for people with truck loads of disposable income.

And I'm using 16 gauge lamp cord for my speaker wire, if it was good enough for Saul Marantz and Avery Fisher I think it's good enough for me. I'm all for using good interconnects and good speaker wire, but in a blind test could you really tell the difference between $50 interconnects and good old monster Cable? Just goes to show the snake oil salesman and those who buy their wares are still alive and well.😂

Cabler for speakers is worthy as much as worth is effort to produce cable for speakers. Anything else is price of prestige to own them with cerrtificate of said value. . .
