As a council tenant I've recently moved into a new build council housing development. Priority was given local tenants, of which I was one, those in overcrowded conditions and under occupiers. The radius from which the council invited tentants' to apply was 300m. I've had to listen to idiots like Lee Anderson who wrongly claimed that the development was for 'illegal immigrants'. I now have the pleasure of not only living in a lovely new flat, but to shut down the ill informed bigots who get their 'facts' from the right wing press, a 'bloke down the pub' and GB News.

I was evicted (landlord hadn’t raised my rent in 12 years and decided to kick me out so he could get £200 a month more from someone else) and had my ESA withdrawn at the same time, and I’m so glad I got priority because of my disability and got a Council flat. Now I don’t have to deal with greedy landlords and have cheap, secure housing
