The back is just as massive as the front, and can handle a lot more work. I do as much pulling on my upper days as pushing and the back gains feel awesome

Any back exercise is gonna work width and thickness for the back too. You can’t just only work the thickness or only the width accept. Your doing both on any kind of row movement.

And a lot of people got it backwards. They think by having a wide grip that’s gonna work more lats. But that’s not true either. A wider grip is gonna emphasis more upper back and a closer grip is gonna work more lats. But either way both areas are being worked no matter what grip you use.

It’s like incline and flat bench. Both are still working your whole chest, your just putting a little more emphasis on a certain area of the chest while still working the whole chest.

When we do the Bent Over Row we want to have a Duck stance keep the butt up low back flat. For pull downs get the full stretch on the Lats . On dumbbell pull overs drop the dumbbell low drop hips low, when the dumbbell comes up to the chest level the hips come up . Full range of motion. 💪🏽✌️💪🏽

My favorites and a staple for me are:

Rack pulls
BB bent over row
Seated Cable pull
Lat pulldown
Rope pullover.

I mainly focus on progressive overload on the rack pulls and bent over rows

Doesn’t wide pull ups or lat pull downs target the last even less than doing it narrow?

It's mind to muscle connection that is hard to master, being able to feel the contractions, once I learnt to lat spread I could feel the exercise then.
