Bro you messed it up. Younis Khan was Pakistan's T20 captain in 2009 WC and Misbah ul Haq didn't retire from T20s immediately after that WC, he played T20s till Feb 2012. What actually transpired was dressing room clashes between two groups of players during the 2009 Champions Trophy. Younis Khan was the captain but a rebel group of players led by Mohammad Yousuf and Shahid Afridi made a coup against him, got him removed. Several times players from one group would underperform just because they weren't on good terms with the captain. In the same there were controversies like Kamran Akmal faking illness to skip a match to protest PCB's decision to drop his brother Umar and wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider fleeing to England alleging threats after winning Pakistan a game that was fixed for them to lose. All of that combined to take Pakistan where it went eventually in August 2010.


Pakistan team is a circus that never stops entertaining.
