Welcome back guys! Here’s an update video on my RAV4 Hybrid! So far I have no regrets in waiting for the 2026 Toyota RAV4 as this has been a very good car, overall.

What are your thoughts? Comment 👇

* My RAV4 actually ended up being a 2024 model year. 2025s are already being produced but since they’re 99% identical in most of the global markets to the previous 2022-2024 model years I opted to choose a Japan built example that met all of my desired criteria at invoice rather than a different one initially closer to MSRP. I will likely be referencing mine at least in video titles as a 2025 in efforts to provide more relevant information to those currently searching for 2025 testing and information. As well as updates that have happened in the past year since the 2024s first started coming out as a lot has hapoened in the car market in the past year. There are some minor differences between the RAV4s in each of our markets around the world, and this video is U.S. based but a large percentage of you watch from other countries so keep in mind regardless of year there’s minor difference and I will be focusing on the main points of this platform.

Thanks for making this video, very helpful. I live in an area where it rains light to moderate and doesn’t snow so the RAV4 AWD would be good enough for my driving. I like the RAV4 drive train with port and direct injection and the E-CVT cause it has actual gears, not to mention the simple clean looking infotainment screen and the knobs for HVAC. If I had to drive in heavy snow and on icy roads I’d buy a Subaru, I understand Subaru has a superior AWD system.

The button you pushed does not turn on/off the rain sensing wipers, that is for the wiper de-icer. To use the RSW you need to put the stalk into the INT position and then adjust the sensitivity with the variable switch. Otherwise, a good test until you actually get some snow. I have done some testing on some very slippery snow/ice covered roads and at 50 mph with full throttle the rear motor still quickly engaged. Also, the traction control will re-engage at 30 mph and you can't turn it off above those speeds. Do you have plans to buy winter tires?

Wait till snow. The tires that came with our hybrid are awful in snow. We switch over to winter tires which all snow area drivers might want to think about.

Waiting on my 2025 to arrive at the dealership. This one was constructed in KY. Have you heard of any differences in Quality/Build depending on if the vehicle came from the plants in Canada, Japan or Kentucky? I know the standards "should" be the same. My RAV now was built in Japan, and has been great. I'm just wondering what you and others think.

The REAL test of the AWD for this vehicle is a deep now test.

Some people go looking for trouble. Some people park in the garage.

Hard pass on the old, discontinued 2025 model.

The all new redesign is 10x better. More power, better fuel efficiency, quieter, bigger and far better Lexus like infotainment system. Shipping in the summer! 😊

“danlop tires” 😣
