While some of these people did give great advice, I took issue with all of these people saying take more risks. While it's true that more risk = more reward as a general rule, it also means a higher chance of loss. You have to realize that all of these people are millionaires living in Newport Beach, and have some amount of survivorship bias. For every one of these successful people, there are those that did take risks and have put themselves into financial ruin. I think a good modification to that advice is take as much risk as you possibly can without compromising your ability to pay your bills, feed yourself, and take care of your family.
