if we do in the other way you showed then Fx = 0
=>10sin45a + 0.5N -100sin45 = 0

here 10a is multiplied with sin45 so it is in x direction that gives a = 5m/s² but the way you solved without multiplying sin45 with ma gives a = 3.535 m/s²
