*PLAY IT FOR THE STORY*

I just finished the game and it was great! The story was original, engaging, and just a pleasure to be a part of. The immersion was flawless. I can't say it was too scary, but I can live with that. The pacing is great. Nothing feels too difficult or drags on too long. The characters are believable and made me really care about them (including the cute funny little robots who are my favorite).

This game took me through many emotions (even laughter), and made me think about the questions it poses. While I can't say it's a classic, I really love a good story/experience like this game had.

My personal tip: fill out the questionnaires on the terminals, its worth the feels at the end

I know people are saying it won't be as scary cause it's machines rather than monsters, but I think it'll have that same Amnesia suspense, but also be really disturbing and dark too. Like Silent Hill 2 style: not blatant horror at all times, but very subtle, horrid themes

The strange part about this game is how much it reminds me of the book Solaris by Stanislaw Lem. Though the differences are relatively major, like Solaris is occuring in an ocean planet that works like a brain, and Soma existing in an underwater location on Earth with a problem of an intelligent infection. However, story-wize and technology-wize, this story and game look extremely close to one another. Keep up the great  work FrictionalGames, and check out the book if you haven't yet. :)

being a robot that has gained sentience and is struggling to survive and not be treated like a tool and destroyed because it isn't behaving like a tool and wants to live could be pretty interesting. doubt the game is about that though.

I'm hoping this meets the same level of Amnesia in terms of me wanting to put the game down and not shaving, obviously most of the game hasn't been seen yet, so I can't know whether it will cause me to grow a beard from trauma.

I think a big aspect of this game might be the variety of options given to the player, each one yielding different results.

I hope FrictionalGames focused heavily on this, if not, this might not be one of their best works.
