HOW MUCH SMALL YOUTUBERS MAKE | LESS THAN 5K SUBS

How much do you make per subscriber? How much do you get paid for doing youtube? How many views until you get paid? These are some of the many questions people have about the youtuber. We've all seen the success stories of former hot dog sellers turned youtube star millionaires. They make it sound super easy to make money on youtube. All you need is a camera, a whole lot of dedications, and those weekly uploads. Get all of that done and you too can get paid by youtube. Is it that easy though? How much (other than 0) do smaller creators make?

I'm a small youtuber and I make bank...said no small youtuber ever. So, I have around 3.5K subscribers (during the filming of this video) and I've been on youtube for around 2 years, with 121 videos uploaded. To be frank with you, subscriber count has nothing to do with how much you get paid. Now, it does have an indirect effect in that because you have more subscribers you get more views, leading you to have more money, but the bottom line is that views are what equals money on YouTube.

The only thing I'd add is that it's not just views, but almost more importantly it's watch time that helps determine how much you make on YouTube. That's partly why a 5 minute animation and a 20 minute gameplay video can both get a million views, but the gameplay will make more money. But nice video! I like your editing style, looks really neat!

I can not tell you how much I appreciate the transparency and professionalism of this video. This really broke down the logistics of ad revenue for content creators.
Maybe in another video you could discuss how to be noticed and recruited by an MCN and what to be wary of when and if you are contacted by them.
