Story 1: dude wanted to be married to his mom. Divorce that man and find one who has cut the umbilical cord. 😂

"My family said I should've sucked it up and done my best to enjoy"
Sucked it up??? For your own trip that you took time and money out for??? She shouldn't be anything less than petty for other people ruining /her/ vacation

Yeah uh... I'm not gonna take my in-laws on a trip for only my partner and I. That's pretty weird, and not in a good way.

The guy who got cheated on has really messed up priorities and the way his family's reacting this makes me see why. He needs to understand that his ex's actions reflect solely on her and not on him at all. Her cheating does not make him not a man It makes her an asshole. In fact the only emasculating thing here is crawling out the window instead of just walking out.

Im pretty sure I'm lactose intolerant and I think that the milk story OP is not the asshole.

Story 1: That's such a major red flag. He went behind your back to do that, and he's trying to make other people see you as the problem. I wouldn't let that slide & would start looking with a serious lense at the other stuff he's done. Is it worth it to stay if he trusts & cares that little?

I am so glad that dad stood up for his trans son. I know what it's like for those around me to not stand up like that and I always feel so bad. Obviously nta

Story 3: You weren't even asked. They just assumed you'd be taking careof everything. Your husband's family is treating you crass, and its time to ask yourself if you want to stay with someone who obviously cares more about your money than you. Money changes people, and not always for the better, as we see here.

In the child-free wedding story, Yes using the flashcards and that meant or was a 100% disrespectful. The problem is is that they kind of force something that would make a huge impression because you had spoken to them several times beforehand and they were refusing to listen to you. So while yes it does kind of make you an asshole it's like a two out of 10 asshole and what some of my friends like to call "justifiable asshole"

First one - NTA. YOU paid, told her no. You AGREED not to bring her and he did it anyway.

story 6: It's YOUR day, not her. She doesn't get to pick what she wears because she doesn't like the color. Wear it and move on, she's acting like a spoiled toddler. She decided to buy the dress, despite knowing she wasn't supposed to. Why would you need to give money back for something you told her not to wear??

For the last one i feel like if someone simply does not understand what “no” means, the line of “too humiliating” barely even exist, and this was not remotely close to it lmao

That first story is a fucking bombshell of a disaster. The wife is in the right. Her husband either needs to cut the cord of lose his wife and move back in with his mother. All he's doing is enabling how clingy his mother is while reciprocating the sentiment.

As for the final story, the OP was an asshole, but it was a deserved asshole moment. The true assholes were the parents of the Miracle Baby who kept wanting to bring a child to a function that s/he wouldn't sit still for. If you have to tell people like that "No" time and again until you have to make visual cues for said person, it just goes to show they never heard the word in their lives. IP wasn't the asshole of the story, but they were an asshole of comical proportions and they deserve that moment

I'm so frustrated by the guy who would rather jump out a window that feel "emasculated" in front of his mom.

WE MUST PROTECT THE WHOLESOME TRANS A MAN OF GOD! A TRUE GENTELMAN AND A SCHOLAR 👏👏👑👏👑👏👑👏👑👏👑👏👑👏
Edit: I just realized the sad hilarity of a trans person (myself) seeing this as a feel-good story because of the dad and not horrible because of the sister. Like I expect so much bigotry of that that doesn't affect me at all but the second somebody does even something kind of kind to the trans community it just makes my little gay hearts soar!!!!

I read the title of the last story and was like "This could go very different directions and it all depends on what the f a 'rainbow baby' is"
