Black and white film photography at night is quite often over looked... The usual suspects for shooting film at night are Cinestill 800T and Portra 800. But there's definitely plenty of beautiful shots to be taken at night on black and white film. It can create some amazing cinematic shots, some of which you wouldn't be able to capture on colour film. So todays video is a short guide on how to just that.
We loaded our cameras with some Delta 400 and ventured out to see what we could find.

Nice shots, guys.
Mermaid Lane, looks like a 1940s gangster movie location. Some great tips there for first time shooters, my must have tool for night photography is a small, dimmable, torch, so you can see camera settings.

Instead of a shutter release cable, I use the timer on my camera. I have to wait 10 seconds for the shot, but it works.

And in my opinion Delta 400 is the best choice for shooting b/w at night!👍🏻

Very interesting video.
I really like Delta too, although more expensive than fp4 and hp5.
I do like the exposure you have managed to get with the shots at Bexhill. The deep blacks and whites.
I find it much easier to meter with the light meter as the camera really only goes to 1sec on the meter.
