Main thing is providers charge 10 $ additional to use on the watch. Which is a big time expense to run the watch. Plus battery life would be compromised big time.

one big advantage with BT version is when my phone's out of bt range, it vibrates when disconnected and avoid leaving my phone behind or, worst, losing it. who left home without their phone nowadays? very few people.
