European trout anglers take dough bait fishing down a different path than most Americans. They treat it more like a lure by molding it into action packed shapes complete with custom color combos to match conditions. More importantly than that, they retrieve it rather than using a static presentation, thus almost completely eliminating fish swallowing the bait. In our experience it far outfishes static presentations too.
