Mick was literally called Captain Fantastic for Ireland but he will always be associated with Keane and Saipan. Roy however is not defined by Mick.

Love Mick. He certainly made mistakes as a manager, including saying "Prove yourself tonight" to Denis Irwin before a 1998 friendly v Argentina.

However, Mick was a very good Ireland manager (better than big Jack for me) and did better with infinitely smaller budgets than Roy did as a manager at club level.

I love Roy, too, who has of course also made mistakes. I think/know that deep down Roy has some regrets re Saipan.

I hope that both now enjoy retirement whilst doing some punditry on the side before Roy returns to his (and my) beloved CORK.

The funny thig is, Mick would deck little Roy if he wanted to. That said, the conditions in Saipan should have been a lot better.
