actually, the two redhead simon designs you showed arent from the same thing. the first one is from castlevania chronicles, a remake of castlevania for the ps1, and the second is from castlevania judgement, a fighting game for the wii. while they both have similar color palettes, im pretty sure its just based on the one from chronicles

4th doesn't seem to be based on that, especially because of the white hair as opposed to red. Personally, this is probably a Dracula-themed alt, much like how Banjo has a Gruntilda alt

Couldn’t the blue one also be a reference to Richter? Yeah he’s in Smash too but it didn’t stop both Mario and Wario getting costumes that reference the other

The one thing I find kind of odd with Simon as well as Richter is that the axe is more powerful than the cross but we all know in all the Castlevania games the cross is way more powerful. But I guess for balancing that makes more sense in Super Smash Bros
