I had the Coway AirPurifier for a day. Nice looks and aesthetics as suggested here. But, the biggest issue is the noise level. YOU CAN'T SLEEP. So, I had it sent back. For all the new AirPurifier buyers, please check the noise levels by visiting the stores first. Cheers

Smartair Sqair deserves to be in the top 3 under 10k.

If you don't mind the higher cost of ownership Sharp makes the best overall Air purifier. Their plasmacluster tech is unlike the 'ozonizers' available in other products (e.g. Xiaomi) in that, it doesn't produce ozone and has 30+ certifications across labs all over the globe. It's also proven effective against 'eliminating' viruses & mould not merely trapping them in the filter. They also use H14 HEPA filters (others use H12/13). But the filter costs 4k and the carbon filter isn't great.

Also don't go by CADR alone. If power consumption and noise aren't a major issue you can run them for longer and get the same end result. A few extra minutes won't kill anyone. LoL

PS: Rupesh, cost of ownership isn't complete without power consumption. And you also didnt mention noise which is CRAZY on the Xiaomi on full power!

you should have keep the filter test for 1-2 hours and see how much AQI drops, that checks how well the actual filter performs ; then that may judge filter costs too; as how fast depends on how big the Fan inside is

Because of the budget you went with the worst Coway purifier. Just add 1-2k more and you can get their traditional looking air purifier. It has separate filters unlike this which has a single costly filter. This purifier does not even have the washable filter which is helpful in filtering large particles to protect the main HEPA filter from clogging up early.
