I know nothing about the H1N1 however here in Southwest Indiana we are having significant issues with viral pneumonia. Hospitals are filled to capacity and they are starting to put restrictions in place for visitors and such that we saw a couple years ago. I currently have a twelve year old son in ICU with it.

I was a public school teacher during the Swine Flu pandemic in 2009-2010. I asked my principal if I could wear a mask to protect myself. She told me NO! Teachers were not allowed to wear masks because it might SCARE THE STUDENTS! My, how things changed!

I was getting really stressed out yesterday and then I had to remind myself that God is in control ultimately and that me being stressed or scared only ruins my time here on earth, whatever may be left of it. I’ve decided to instead focus on the ridiculous and absurd nature of things and kind of see it like I’m watching an episode of The Twilight Zone and even laugh at it. I’m going to be happy, relaxed and have fun and love on my family harder than ever! Get some popcorn y’all cause the show is on and crackin now!

So I live here in Athens pepper dog. Saturday I left my work and went with a friend to a Christmas party in South Carolina. I have never met any of these people before never been around them By that evening when I returned home, I was stuffy felt like I was getting sick. Sick as a dog and have been since. 4 other people got sick that night. I’ve never known anything virus, bacterial infection, Nothing to move that rapidly. I’m still struggling. Flu symptoms with fever chills vomiting. I’ve lost 12 lbs so far and it’s only Thursday.

I choose not to get any pokes. My concern is that those who buy into the fear will bring the track and tacers to my space anyway. The answer is still NO. But I don't need the intrusion and aggravation. I'll pass away when it's my time, but whatever means God seems appropriate. Why do people live in fear of this stuff? There have always been diseases, and there always will be. Maybe focus on life while we are alive? Be well everyone.

Things being beyond ridiculous is right, Mr. Dawg. I am just sitting on the sidelines and observing things as they happen. Keeping the armor of God on, even when I sleep. So many distractions just keep coming up and it's getting more and more obvious that our leaders are worried about what's going to come with the new administration.
