Driving through the town of Loutraki, Greece

Loutraki is a seaside resort on the Gulf of Corinth. The town is known for its vast hot springs and its therapeutic spas. There are many tourists who visit Loutraki every year (especially in summer) because of its crystal clear sea. The Casino of Loutraki has thousands of visitors every day. Its population is about 12,000 people. In antiquity the town called Thermae (Greek: Θερμαί, hot springs). In 1928 Loutraki was completely destroyed by earthquake and rebuilt. Another strong earthquake hit the area in 1981 with less destructive effects.
Το Λουτράκι είναι ένα παραθαλάσσιο θέρετρο στον Κόλπο της Κορίνθου. Η πόλη είναι γνωστή για τις πολλές θερμές πηγές και τα ιαματικά λουτρά της. Επίσης πολλοί τουρίστες επισκέπτονται το Λουτράκι κάθε χρόνο (ειδικά το καλοκαίρι) λόγω της πεντακάθαρης θάλασσας του. Το Καζίνο του Λουτρακίου έχει χιλιάδες επισκέπτες κάθε μέρα. Ο πληθυσμός του είναι περίπου 12.000 άνθρωποι. Στην αρχαιότητα η πόλη ονομαζόταν Θερμαί. Το 1928 το Λουτράκι καταστράφηκε πλήρως από σεισμό αλλά ξαναχτίστηκε. Ένας άλλος ισχυρός σεισμός έπληξε την περιοχή το 1981 με λιγότερα καταστροφικά αποτελέσματα.

Ha! I've been to Loutraki many years ago, and what I remember the most is : WONDERFUL FOOD !
(Greek food is one thing I miss VERY MUCH here in Asia, almost impossible to find!)
