Make sure you subscribe to follow our daily lives in this farm!

Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 22 and Deivids 23 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia. Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help. Soooo far everything is going great and there haven't been any incidents.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every "ugly" part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!

In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily and part of it are
3 goats
4 chickens
1 rooster
and 2 geese
Oh yeah and my cat Ivi

Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn't be fair to keep this fun for us!
that's why we want YOU to be also part of our Farmily!!

Hope you enjoy our video!

You have a great community. More hands make work very profitable. Everyone young and old learning from each other.

That's just too Awesome!! Having the help of your elders teaching you how it's done ✔ 👍
When I was a child ( back in the day) We took baths in a tub exactly like that, we had to haul water, heat it & take turns. The youngest was always last. That was me lmao 🤣 😂

O my goodness Apple juice home made Yuuum . I haven't had any of that sense I was 15 years old .that's nearly 50 years ago .If I could have a mug of that and a big slice of Despina's pumpkin pie I could die a happy man .Deivids I will tell you right know you are the richest man in the world .You two are doing what you want with who you want .I don't think anyone could ask for more, Well they might ask but why I will tell you a little secret don't tell any one but you are living the dream I had 45 years ago .

I was wondering if you would make juice/cider from your apples.
If you haven't considered it before, consider dehydrating some apples. I dipped slides/chunks of Apple in bottled lemon juice, then dropped into sugar and put into dehydrating racks. You could use a low heat oven, too. Oh my, they were delicious, like candy. We gave away dehydrated apples to our good friends at Christmas, along with a blend of ground or coarsely chopped dehydrated peppers. All were labors of love.

It is a really good way to use lots of different varieties of apples to save wasting them, - there are only so many apples you can eat! Could you feed some of the leftover pulp to animals or do you just add it to compost?
Presume you boil the apple juice to enable you to keep it for longer?
Could you use it before that stage to make apple cider or apple wine?
Thank you for showing us the process.

We helped our neighbors with a small apple orchard make cider using the exactly same type of equipment.

I like how Europa canns food. It is so much easier then the many many steps in the way Americas canning. In The American method, we do what u did but then we put those jars ( only these special jars with sellable lids that come in 2 part) in big pots then covered with water and boiled for about 45 -60 minutes.
I’m new at this p, so I’m going to do it ur way for 1/2 and see how it comes out.
Thank you for showing me new things. Love ur videos. Ur friend in CA.

I grew up making juice each year. There is nothing like fresh. We use some of the same methods. I’m a little late to your blog, but I’m enjoying catching up.
