what Minecraft has been sorrowfully and unexcusably lacking for eons of time is ambient sound effects that are emitted by real new passive atmospheric mobs such as night twinkling light by a one pixel firefly - cricket sounds at night by (you guessed it) crickets - maybe an owl somewhere on a tree - frogs that call (my vote is for the rhinella marina specie, since it has a soothing relaxing call) - dragonflies that roam the swamps - crabs by the beach - and some damn birds singing by day. When you walk about the minecraft world you should expect to see these creatures abound... they'll make the experience much more enjoyable. And I can't believe that until this day, they aren't in without the use of mods (mo creatures, atmosmobs, animal+ etc). I mean is it too hard to do? modders showed that it is not. So why the empty world of minecraft? I don't get it. Imo the nether or hell or whatever shouldn't even exist. And man those villagers look bad awful. Can we modify them like we can skins?

Ecko, if you go to the weapons section of the snapshot, you can like a love staff. Could we maybe get staffs?

i have it on pc and i love it u can duel wield wepons there are wings and they redid the end so fun

gm 5 would be cool it could be called the building mode to where you get more slots and it highlights the block where your looking at. cool

Hi ecko, do you think that in the combat update, Mojang will introduce new things such as prone mode, swinging the sword combos (just like rpgs) and weapons like emerald and ruby ect?

I would love to see staffs in minecraft to keep the old feel of minecraft like swords and bows.

When nathan adams said he needed somthing to from the wither for 1.9 maybe he needed the wither star to make a wepon "imbude sword" (feed the beast) maybe ?? :p

Mcpe has the paths already and you have to use the shovel to get them. For mcpe we tap grass. For pc you will probably have to right click the grass with the shovel

By the way now on the pocket edition you can just tap with a hoe to make paths. Its already in the iOS but not really people know it

Pe gets an update in beta, PC 1.9 in the works. What does this tell me? 4J better be getting there stuff together FAST!

Imagine if minecraft had a post Wither "Hardmode" simmilar to terraria's Hardmode where after the Wither's defeat, much harder enemies spawn but also gives the player access to Stronger Weapons and armor and a Hardmode Wither and Enderdragon (like the destroyer, twins, and skeletron prime in terraria) as well as new objectives and bosses, however this feature should be optional when generating a world

I think tu24 will come out tommorrow (easter) and either it will be custom super flat. Or the full update 1.7/1.8
