Atleast Pujara had the guts to look ugly and take body blows which allowed the likes of gill and pant to score freely. Idhar sale kohli aur rohit apne shot khelna nahi chhodenge.
I'm not saying ki Pujara hota to hum jit jate because he is also towards the end of his glorious career.
But it's a bloody fact that the role which Pujara played in last two series, no one can do that. I mean, absolutely no one.
Rahane wasn't also in good form before the MCG test. Also, the fact he ran out kohli triggered a collapse in Adelaide, must have been in his mind. But cometh the hour, he scored a 100 and showed the world what steel he's made of. Rahane doesn't have the pr, but as per me, he is 100 times more astute and tactically brilliant than the ever lazy Rohit Sharma. Mind you, it was Bumrah and Pandya who saved his arse after his horrible decision to bowl spin to the beast Heinrich klassen.

Bumrah is operating at a god level currently. But he wasn't much behind in 2018 and 2021 series. If even one player put his hand up and played the role of Pujara, we wouldn't see Bumrah being so helpless. He needs some support from the batters, and is getting absolutely nothing.

Adit's hot takes are just mind boggling. Bumrah has a bowling average of 18 ish in India. He is probably top 5 fast bowlers of all time (maybe even top 3).

Guys. We should not be criticizing Jaiswal and Pant in the second innings. They have batted for 52 overs in total. Couldn't the rest of the team bat for another 40 overs to save the test? Then they don't deserve to be test players. Again, let us keep Washington and Reddy aside coz of what they did in the first innings. Kohli and Sharma have to face the majority of the criticism. They should have at least batted for 20 overs. We did not expect anything more from them. Now they are struggling to even play for 20 overs in total in one innings.

Kohli usually doesn't get so much love anyway during a tour, when he's playing but end of the day people know him. india is a top team in cricket, we have multiple int trophies in several categories, we have one the worlds best league, bcci is rich, we control icc, cricket is in cwc, asiad and now in olympics, we have just tapped into the american market they won't need too much push from outside, cricket is running professionally and methodically in US, ipl teams are running teams in multiple countries, our talent pool is immense, overall the game is flourishing.

I think Dhruv Jurel needs to be given an extended run. He was impressive as a keeper as well but at least as a batter and close in fielder. Not just skill but has a good head on his shoulders. Let Pant fill some heat, hopefully that will avoid this brain fade moments

If we know that Bumrah will take crucial wickets and all others are going to fall just because wickets fall, what’s the point of playing 5 bowlers including two spinners and one all round medium pacer Reddy (though he batted well)? We can easily drop one spinner and one other bowler and bring in Shubman Gill and any other batsman, even Sarafarz.
