Producers never understood that fans love splinter cell not because there are shootings and explosions but exactly because there are none.
I first learned about the series playing chaos theory and I was immediately amazed by how good it was and, most importantly, how ORIGINAL it is is.
There are countless numbers of shooter games, but what about a game where you don't shoot amd indeed, the very objective is not to get noticed! That's the beauty of if. The patience, the wisdom, the care, the control. Sam is the archetype of a strong and powerful elite soldier and yet he walks in the shadows and uses violence with surgical precision and only in extreme cases.
The rest of the game is just a cinematic experience of suspense and slowing down time so that each step, each decision is exactly necessary to accomplish the mission. There is no waste because everything is thought through with timeless patience.
Therefore, making a movie with blasts and emptying the rifle's magazine just goes to show that the producer do not get one bit what it is all about. I understand that not everybody like the genre and it may be a narrow niche, but trying to distort it so that it fixs the canon of blockbusters I think it's a terrible idea.

I think it actually a good fit. henry also wanted to play james bond, but was declined due to his age (first to young, and now to old for a series of movies). Sam fisher per do right for him. He can change his physic for the role. And then, Samual LJ as Lambert. hell yeah! 👍🏽
