Congrats on the Gourd win. I'm excited to hear it as gourds do far better than pumpkins here in USDA zone 9. Bugs always take out my pumpkin plants.

Hi in Denmark we have cold weather and rain all summer. We grow our pumpkin outdoor, no greenhouse. The weight off our 5 choice pumpkin was 825 pund, the rest rotted. But my questions is, will seed from this pumpkin (bought in US) be able to handle the danish outdoor climate better than new seed from US ??

Your local extension office and your states land grant college can help with soil tests and a lot of their services are free (or cheap because they’re government funded)

That Organic matter reading seems ludicrous low. I'd take that with a grain of salt. I'm aiming for 10% but even our natural pasture soil is up at 4%. 10-20 CEC is good from what I've heard. increasing organic matter will increase CEC obviously. HIgher CEC are easier to manage I believe. Farmers down here love the high CEC ferosoil but its to dense (high CEC) for optimal pumpkin growth.
