What are you not willing to do?

Oftentimes, improvement is staring us in the face. We know, deep down, what we need to do. But we don't. Why?

By asking the right questions and confronting ourselves with honesty and humility, we will unlock new important paths to improving ourselves.

I hope you find this video valuable!

This is such an inspiring way to look at things. I've been plateauing and arguably even performing worse than ever, both in aim trainers and Valorant. The moment you mentioned the question, so many things popped into my head - my irregular sleep pattern, procrastinating of schoolwork, putting off gym, putting off VOD reviews etc. I don't think a YouTube video has ever resonated with me so well, and I can't wait to immediately start improving things and hopefully see success after doing so. Great work Dan.

I like how you put yourself through the exercise yourself. We all have to hold ourselves accountable no matter who and where we are in our lives. Thank you for this video

Playing for 6+ hours with limited sleep; "sees my headshot percentage go down and aim deteriorate, then chose to aim train more and practice, rather than sleeping and resetting..."

You seriously have been making the best videos lately and ive been sharing these videos with everyone i know. Keep it up because youve definitely found content people want and there isnt much of it out there thats as in depth as you get and i know people stumble across your videos and didnt know they needed it until they watch. Good work man

I love your off-the-cuff style! I would consider a different video format that would forgo the teleprompter. Jeff Nipard and Renaissance Periodization do a great job using notes in their off-the-cuff content. Moving your camera to different angles can also add visual interest, though I understand your space might not be ideal for that. However, the typical nice space with a desk and a laptop is very appealing for us as viewers. It keeps the talking head while allowing more space for you to express yourself. For example, having notes. I've loved moving my camera around my desk when I'm bored as well!

I think some notes or footnotes could be helpful, but going exclusively scripted might lose some of the awesome content you create. A mix of scripted and unscripted videos could be great. If a video is fully scripted and refined, the visuals should serve as an example of that. I often find myself watching B-roll just wanting to see some examples of the discussed topics in use. However, that is simply my preference, and I'm sure others may not need the visuals as much when learning!

I think learning scripting may be good, but I love the style of your videos where you have a general topic and ramble haha

This video is very inspiring! I started pretty late with taking FPS games seriously. And I have a very hard time to net get stuck in the middle ranks in pretty much any FPS. Since I started late, I was very focused on mechanics, since it was the obvious department where I had to catch up. So, I did become a quite competent aimer. I managed to climb to 19k rating in cs2 but am stuck on faceit level 3-5. On leetify I got an aim score of over 80, which even my level 8+ friends cannot reach, while my utility score stays low.
I know, that I should play Soloq but am always relying on a stack of friends, I know that I should do vod reviews, I know that I should look at pro vods and watch how they play the positions I am playing, I'm just not doing it. And everytime I die in-game, especially if I didn't get outrotated I immediately think "oh, if my aim was better, I would've won that fight and could carry the game". I haven't found the emotional answer yet to why I keep doing what I am doing....

Great video!

Commenting re: subtitles because i mentioned how helpful they were last time

I found the "pop-in" effect on the subtitles in this video made it quite a lot more difficult to read

Could just be me though

For me, I got a new job learning how to sell HP laptops and PCs. Ended up learning alot about microsoft copilot, just a chat gpt really. But its funny. I simply ask "What should I go about doing to be an fps player's aim coach as a career?" And I get a list of steps. At first, it included content creation and I'm like ehhh not really big on social/community interaction I just wanna coach. It let me know that's plenty possible, but takes more networking and case studies of players to show later down the line. I dunno I think this chat gpt thing is cool cause it gets rid of the excuses my mind might come up with, thinking it through
