Meteorologist Jim Weber says the tropics are staying relative calm, with a small, disorganized system still swirling in the norther Gulf of Mexico. It doesn't show any potential for real development into the weekend.

FOX 13 has great weathermen. They need that capacity since the weather they cover is an aggregate of a complicated area and also is influenced by a large part of that extensive weather map explained to viewers. I find the presentations to be good learning and help in understanding this region

didn't mention a thing about the big kibosh though and that's been Sahara sand which is very persistent this year. yeah hope that continues because we're still a month away from the beginning of peak nasties that begins around 8.15.
