Verizon earned an adjusted $1.15 per share as revenue rose 0.3% year-over-year to $33B. Helping the quarter was a 3.4% year-over-year increase in wireless service revenue.

Verizon Business accounted for 151,000 fixed wireless access additions during the period, its best quarter to date. Verizon also added 53,000 Fios internet net additions during the quarter.

Verizon Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg declared the the importance of wireless services to individuals and business customers with an optimistic forecast for 2024.

Hugh is right. This is a utility. Why would anyone pay more for cell service? Verizon isn't the phone you have, just the service. Nobody cares what electric company you have, just that you are getting the best rate.
