Building one for my w/shop ute. Taken about 1.5 kgs off my crank very carefully with old school weight method.
Complicated yes, beneficial yep, time consuming?
Ohhh yeeaarrr. Timewise 1 week thus far. Customer stuff comes first.

They raced these at Bathurst when these cars were new.
We were there, and you could here these things off in the distance; they sounded like a warmed up Jaguar 6, probably turning at 8, 000 rpm.

Manual is awesome on this with cammed, suck with auto, different story obviously with a turbo and proper power

I had a little spot of rust like that on my car. Once the rear window was pulled the rust was quite extensive around nearly the entire window. Hopefully you have better luck with yours 👌🏻
