Black streaks on half my roof?

Do you have black streaks on some parts of your roof but not the entire roof? Algae is on your entire roof and not just the areas where you see it. Cleaning only the dirty section of roof is leaving plenty of algae on your roof to re-infest the clean areas.

Algae normally grows on the north and west side of your home but that does not mean its not on the entire roof.
