I must admit I'm not keen on Temu or Shein, as I question their ethical standards and sustainability. I appreciate, however, that for some, it comes down to affordability and personal preference. As you rightly deduce - most of us probably have items in our homes that have been made in China, although I believe some companies have stricter regulations on working conditions etc. Thank you for addressing it, though, and for being so transparent about it, Caroline - as you always are. ❤

Hi Caroline, thank you for doing a Temu haul. I do a fair bit of crafting and journalling. I love ordering from Temu, their range of stuff is quite staggering. Never had an issue with anything. Enjoy receiving my parcels. I think as you say each to their own.

I don’t think the problem is that goods are from China, as retailers such as Marks and Spencer have their own requirements regarding health and safety for the workforce and safety of the goods produced. Temu are not covered by any regulations, hence the cheap prices. Studies have found heavy metals such as antimony in clothing and shoes and caution should be used when buying toys.

I don't think I'll ever order off Temu or Shein because most of it looks poor quality and not as good as the online photo. However, I'll be interested to see what the projector looks like.

Don’t be shy about returning anything you’re not happy with, they will either say keep and refund you or easy process to send back. I love Temu, yes you get what you pay for but I’ve compared like for like with Amazon and most products are the exact same thing! X

I love Temu i am sadly a bit addicted. I have had some really good stuff and a few rubbish items. Their lazy susans are cheap and good for the fridge and cupboards. Had some really good bits of jewellery and nightdresses as well. My new years rssolution is to not sit scrolling through and ordering so much lol.

I was totally against buying from Temu but have been watching all the hauls … so I did go on the app and order 2 things but my goodness I couldn’t work out all the so called offers etc. it would be so easy to spend a lot on items I really didn’t need but can see how addictive it can be. Some really original items. I just think it encourages over consumerism and I need to be strong and stay away!! Thank you for sharing this ❤

Hi Caroline! 👋 This was fun to watch. 😄 From what I can tell about Temu, you should approach with the attitude of 'prepare for the worst, hope for the best', but I've never ordered from them so can't really judge. You are right about everything being made in China though. A bit worrying how the entire world has their eggs in one quite scary basket... see you next time. Xx

Morning! Agree about the dressing gown vibes of the cardi and the highlighters in shades of 'sludge'. Bottles ok and would get used. Padded bag ok and a handy size. Looking forward to seeing the books and projector. I have a friend who raves about Temu but I m still on the fence about giving it a go,

It is so sad that our lives are filled with items made in the Far East and not in the UK. We can’t avoid these purchases but personally I prefer not to buy directly from Chinese companies .

You should request a return for the highlighters. They are very good for customer service and often refund without requiring small or inexpensive items to be returned. You can then just bin them.

I watch for you Caroline but temu and Shein are the most irritating websites with all the pop ups so I do avoid, the green looks fab on you, gives me Harry Potter vibes 😂❤️
