Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created a witch who's austere and mysterious, that just seems to be what an old-fashioned witch is expected to be, and also has the typically sinister black cat associated with them, while Ben Grimm's humour seems to mock the clichés riven into the script, but she has much more character than the witches of legend. I know that she has a tragic backstory.

Lee and Kirby were still creating characters together this late in the 1960s, including Torgo just before this one.

A great many thanks for this! CLASSIC Agatha Harkness from the Marvel Universe is infinitely much better than the MCU-Disney+ "Agatha Harkness" from Wandavision. Wandavision is a huge disappointment for completely changing the character and not being true to the comics. 50+ years of Agatha Harkness MU-comics tradition just completely set aside.
