Thank you for this video, you've taught me something I didn't know (that Sheffield has independent bookshops again - there was a great one when I first moved to Sheffield at the end of the '90s called Applebaum - I bought my main Tarot deck from them - but it did sadly close ages ago). I've been using Waterstones for a long time (and sometimes that online site for speed and convenience that you mentioned) and a couple of good things about Waterstones are that they have loyalty cards, one for store purchases and the other for when you buy at Café W, their café. I've found lots of books I didn't know I needed from them too and they also have a great section for local authors. My other half uses it when he's buying for me at Christmas. By the way, the cakes in Café W are great and they've a really nice selection of teas as well. I'm glad I've found a relatively local YouTuber too, so I've subbed. Nice one! 😁👍

You ought to go to Nottingham; there’s loads of independent bookshops and of course a massive Waterstones (with four floors!) which’s a worth of the trip up there.

I love this style of video. It's great to see all the different shops, and it's nice to see your interactions with people. You come across like such a friendly bloke that anyone could have a chat with! You should make this into a series with other local cities. I use an independent book shop in Derby called Eagle Books. It's a small shop, but the lady who owns it is lovely, and i managed to find a second hand 20 year old pristine condition of the first printing of Malazan books 1-3 in there not long ago.

Must put these on my list :) Talking of bookshops, I've just been to 'Peak Volumes' in Tideswell for the first time. One of those cosy secondhand bookshops with nooks and crannies! Would recommend.
