As a sincere Christian, trying my best to honor my faith and imitate Christ in all I do, I must say that the sight of Donald Trump associating himself with Christianity is so bewilderingly grotesque and hypocritical and nauseating that I can barely stand it.

I am not an evangelical. I am a well-integrated, open-minded, healthy, logical person who practices the Christian faith. I think that Christian nationalism must be the most transparent power sickness I have ever observed. There is no possible connection between the faith and secular government, nor can there be.

He is the exact opposite of a Christian. In fact, if you were to list the Christian virtues and lay them in front of him, he would, if honest, express perfect disgust for everything the faith stands for.

I'm both saddened and infuriated by the apparently strong support Trump has from people who claim the Christian faith. I simply can't understand it.
