I know some people had trouble with their updates, and I’ve seen people say it bricked their camera? Guessing maybe they skipped the intermediate Firmware or something.

But I installed this update on multiple a7sIII BODIES and it’s been wonderful. Really breathed new life into my favorite camera of all time. Although, investing hours recustomizing wasn’t awesome lol but at least I could copy a finished customization over to the rest of the bodies.

I won't be updating mine. The new firmware completely changes native ISO settings when using PRORES RAW / Ninja V. It goes from 640/12800 to 80/1600

I thought it was a good update for my use of the camera. The anti dust feature is a game changer for me, 24p when filming on bigger productions, love the new interface it feels like a whole new camera. Focus breathing was a plus for me as well. Oh yeah, and the DCI 4K.

Hi, this firmware is breaking the dual iso for external raw recording with the ninja v, did you had this trouble? now the dual iso is 80/1600 instead of 640/12800 in prores raw) and you have to put the iso on auto to reach 80... did you noticed that too?

Great update for a7s3 but i wished they put more video functions like the fx3 it should be the same cause they are 100% similair, did not have issues with updates but i was not covinced on updates on the A1 cause i had problems previously 2 years ago on the wifi comunications sytem that wouldnt work same issue then and same issue now ! Sony should gauranty their firmware updates like apple does . its absurd that sony will break high end camera and the customer should pay for it . buttom line Sony should do a recall on the A1 comunications issues or face a law suit like big car manufacturers

great update but i have some quastion if there is an answer, i have a AF/MF funcion custom key, in shooting mode when i change from af to mf the focus mode dont dissapear is any way there are a setting for this to fix it ? , also the focus peaking keeps on af, im really thinking go back one version... :/

Ooooh, there is still life in that old dog of a camera then :D Gotta be honest, the A7SIII is really my dream camera, yet so unattainable for now - as for the imaging edge-app … I tried it when I borrowed an A6100 a year ago, and it was HORRIBLE (the app, not the A6100) - it was everything an app shouldn’t be: unstable, weird UI choices, looked like trash and didn’t do the job it was supposed to do - who ever made that app *really* didn’t know what they where doing :/
