Would be nice if one day we could buy games on PC without worrying about port performance, bad controls etc.. Maybe one day.

Running windowed or borderless fullscreen will always have a slight performance cost relative to fullscreen in any game. Fullscreen allows Windows to give the application exclusive control of the display, otherwise it needs to be composited by the window manager.

Knowing Ubisoft, those settings are probably for 30fps.

PC has always been an afterthought for Ubisoft and it shows in the quality of the products they produce
The fact that PC games go out and buy the latest rehashing of this series year after year despite evidence of Ubisofts contempt is a constant source of amusement for me

i7 on ssd...

i play AC Unity all in ultra high and MSAAx2(MFAA) at 45/50 constant fps in places with many crowd...

I have been seeing problems with it too. I get about 30 to 40 fps, i'm running an i7 4790k 32gb ram and a GTX Titan X running at 1440p. I just installed the nvidia driver, but I will be testing it tomorrow to see how much of a difference there is.

You and I have similar builds, except I have a R9 280x so I suppose I can expect similar performance.

I think I read and/or herd they recommended setting based on 30fps (with V-sync enabled)

It's a shame too, there are apparently some new and interesting mechanics in this game and I feel like an awesome co-op opportunity was missed.

I'm willing to bet that for some of these companies "recommended" system requirements are to accomplish 30 fps (a standard for "playable" games in consoles).
