"Caligula's Horse" are an Australian progressive metal band from Brisbane, Queensland. Formed in the early 2010's by guitarist Sam Vallen and vocalist Jim Grey, Caligula’s Horse have released six highly acclaimed albums and have most recently completed a mammoth world tour, showcasing their latest album 'Charcoal Grace'.

Charcoal Grace is the 6th studio album of the band, and it combines raw rock power with immense emotional depth. Charcoal Grace is borne of the static hopelessness that the pandemic forced upon the band and, indeed, much of the world, these past few years. It is an album reckoning with the experiences and outcomes of this time geared, ultimately, towards catharsis - moving towards a more hopeful future.

I have been waiting for this ever since I saw Caligula's Horse on the wheel.
They have been one of my favorites since their album 'In Contact.'
Their whole discography is fantastic, I recommend it to anyone.

Sam from CH is my favorite metal guitarist atm, he nails interesting groove/rhythms with melody. He is just so well rounded, and doesn't focus on shredding.
