[Episode 3]
In this week's episode of All For All, Richard (RJ) Eskow explains why the Democratic Party's unspoken "business model" prevents it from leading the struggle for transformative change. Leftists should understand that this donkey can sometimes be led but can never lead. To expect anything else is to see it "ass backwards."

Neither parties serve Americans. We need new parties.

"Better a fascist than a socialist" is the motto of the Dems.

This is why the Dems and Rethugs never get my vote. Two sides to the same coin.

They lack the political will for reform.

You can’t lead if you are following the money.

It's too bad we as voters didn't make it a point to vote for whoever spent the least amount of money that would stop it fast.
I think we are just too easily manipulated.

Thank you for tackling this incredibly important subject. The Democratic Party is just as oligarchic as the Republican one. Any celebrity politicians trying to use this moment for clout by, idk, going on a national tour and giving self-congratulatory speeches about how they pulled themselves up from their own bootstraps and stopped waitressing, needs to be criticized as misleading the people. Oligarchy is not only confined to one major political party, but to both.

Very well presented analysis of why nothing changes with either party in power. They've been different sides of the same coin since the 90's. I'd still have Bernie over them all.

You know, anytime you talk about having a corporate friendly environment as a way of doing politics, it just boils down to glad handing; which just boils down to doing nothing but passing the buck. In other words, it just creates an environment where stasis is the rule of the day, because the main thing is really about getting money and spending it. Just as it happened in Kamala Harris’s case, where the campaign spent 1.5 billion dollars on a lot expensive consultants and rearranging rooms for press interviews. Because trying to make a room look like the Taj Mahal was more important than anything else. And never mind the formidable barriers she was facing like being a woman instead of a man as the President of the United States; which the American people were still not ready to accept. And finally, being tied to Biden who was in the middle of helping Netanayu bomb Gaza into the stone age. So money has a way of taking your mind off reality!

Can you talk about Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow Coalition?
I was completely oblivious of politics as a youngster and I'd like a better understanding of that rift in the Dems.
Thanks for your efforts. Bernie Bro here. Kudos on your new project w/ Democracy at Work!

So, what I take away from this is unless we get money out of politics nothing good is going to happen. No kidding. If we could at least get disclosure of the identity of the donors of each Senator and Member of the House then we could at least target our activism. We need to focus our energy here. If we cannot unravel this money block we will not get anyting else done. Nor will a third party able to compete. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Bernie sander forgein policy matt ross supported Ukraine war and in addition since sanders wasn't going to transition privatized sectors like military to state owned. Sanders wouldn't balance budget just the rich for short term gains if that, sanders praised corporate subsidies aka stock buybacks bundles

Blaming an individual or single nation is insane.

Both oligarchy corrupted political parties must be abolished by rational working class citizens. Capitalism, nationalism and religious mysticism divide us despite our common and collective needs for a high quality life. We must end these root causes and develop global governance to insure every person’s basic needs are met to optimize their ability to thrive and contribute to our common welfare and prosperity.

Thank you for such a well delivered honest chat about the democratic party and where we are at from a leftist perspective. I sometimes have difficulty breaking through the noise as many liberals have convinced themselves that they are on the "good team" not aware that the democratic party is still the other wing of capitalist support. I try to support worker solidarity in the circles I am in which is difficult in America and I hope to gently remove the blinds from those who are open to hear it. I think the American public yearns for a real class awakening but doesn't quite have the language or understanding or any real organization to fully grasp it, we've got a long way to go but the people seem to have more of an appetite for this than I've seen in the last 20 years.

How about the Informed Citizen's Party? To be a member, you must prove you are informed and a good citizen.
You must be able to write an essay about a new party, a movement, a community, and a home.

It appears to me that what he’s saying is all buried below the surface and subliminal. And has no tangible feeling that can reach the American people. I mean what’s he talking about when it comes to picking a business model to follow, to campaign for, and build a coalition for, that the average American can follow? Because while it strikes some familiar notes that one heard during the times of Clinton, Obama, and Biden, it really altogether sounds meaningless! And strikes your ears as a kind of high tech talk. When the message should be clearing and resounding as to what the party wants for the American people!
