Programming flightplan, you should consider battery capacity (up to 50 minutes, 26 km) and elevations of the Earth surface (available at certain web sites).

Video is saved to onboard SD ... Once FlightPlan is started it will complete even if signal lost ... So "range" is battery capacity.
