What Happened to Kalpana Chawla in Space? *The Space Girl*

Kalpana Chawla was born in India. As a child she loved drawing pictures of airplanes & see the stars at night.

At the age of 26 her dream came true and she began working at NASA in 1988. In 2000, Kalpana Chawla was selected for conducting experiments in space with other 6 crew members.

Her space shuttle STS-107 was launched on Jan 16, 2003. But during the take off a piece of foam insulation broke off & damaged the shuttle.

During the re-entry hot gases penetrated through that broken foam & destroyed the shuttle

We should also give honour to rest of the 6 members who died with her 😞 She wasnt the only one who died because of the destruction of the space shuttle. No offence. It just didnt look fair
