How to setup ADB & fastboot to be used anywhere on Windows

Adding the location of your platform-tools directory will allow you to use ADB & fastboot, as well as any other executables from any directory from your command interpreter (i.e. CMD & Powershell).

You must not move the folder after adding the platform-tools path to the system's PATH environment variable. Otherwise you'll need to add it again.

Updating is quite simple too, just extract the contents of the newer platform tools into your existing platform tools directory.

I'm familiar with PC, their commands, the Windows environment, have been for a long time but to make it work with my phone I was unsure. More so, I had questions. i need help, i downloaded ADB, and the whole android studio 2021 and platform tools and everything..
I cant remember the pattern unlock for my tablet.. but i can unlock it with my fingerprint....
i'm having a hell of a time trying to find out how to disable the pattern lock. please help

weird, 4 days ago I used your method to root. All worked perfectly. Today with the new security patch I decided to unroot. For an unknown reason when I plug my phone my laptop tells me USB not recognized and when I attempt to fastboot devices "waiting for any devices" and stays there.

Any ideas?

There is no option for new or browse instead it shows a small popup saying variable name and variable value, what to do now ?

Actually i have problem is android studio when i run my app there is unknown error like that >> Unable to connect to ADB. Check the Event Log for Possible Issue. Verify that your localhost entry is pointing to 127.0.0.1 or ::1 for IPv4 or IPv6, respectively. and when i show in event log there is >> Unable to detect adb version, adb output:

This didn't work for me. The list under path does not come up. A small window that says edit system variables with "Variable name: Path, Variable Value: Files (x86)\ATI Files Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\;C:\Program Files Files Anyone know what to do with this?
