The video is technically incorrect... the 'anti roll bars' the video highlights are actually roll bar linkages. The roll bar itself is the vertical bar between them. How it works is as the car rolls, one wheel will move upwards (relative to the car) and one down. This upward motion is transferred by the bell crank into a forward/backward motion at 0:41. This forward motion pushes the highlighted linkage which twists the vertical roll bar. The bars stiffness resists the rolling motion of the car.

To those wondering how the bar actually inhibits roll: The bar is fixed at the base, so the different movements of the rockers literally twist the bar. It would be similar to adding another spring to the car that only works in roll. The abngle of the blades determine how stiff the bar acts, and different bars can be used to provide stiffer or softer anti-roll characteristics.

@ebuck175 Agreed. Indycars, please explain how the anit-roll bars actually inhibit rolling during a car, instead of just saying that the anti-roll bars inhibit rolling.

The idea of adjusting stiffness is actually pretty cool if it could be implemented in newer production performance vehicles.

indycar has pull-rod front suspension, not push-rod. ;)
