Yep, Whitetop Mountain, 2nd highest in Va after Mt Rogers of course. Eleanor Roosevelt, the president's wife visited a music festival there on top of the mountain in 1933. I've ridden my bike down (and back up) from Whitetop Station, it's pretty steep near the top, no peddling needed, yer flyin' down like being on a motorcycle, it's a blast. If I ever attend trail days in Damascus I'll tell 'em I've done the entire trail, just not which one, right? I remember microwave towers at the top, don't remember cell horns but could be wrong. I've seen hoar frost at Elk Garden which is one of the most beautiful things ever, it was in November so not too much later in the season than now. Been to the Smokies a few times but otherwise will run out of things to say as you head out of VA.

At 4;11 the white bloom is ladies tresses. The Whitetop community center/fire hall collects the sugar water from the maple trees, boils it down for their maple syrup festival in March.

At 4:11, I think that is the small green wood orchid, but not sure. Lots of Joe Pye Weed at 4:26 and closer at 6:48. Almost done for the season.
