First 15 seconds of the video: "electric planes have been around since the 1970s"

Imagine being on a plane and hear the captain saying that the battery is low

Are we gonna look over the fact that inventor of lithium ion battery is named John B.Goodenough.

Let me save you some time, battery energy density isn’t there yet. Too heavy for how much energy you get out of the batteries.

The problem with batteries has to do with the density of energy that can be stored.
Even the most modern batteries are heavy but carry little energy relative to gasoline or jet fuel tanks.

That is two puns in a row and they didn't even mention it.

6:58 yes! "we are using the wrong tools for the job" fast trains for shorter trips not electric planes. (at least in areas with very high concentration of people)

2020 "We used a glider to reduce risk and harm to anyone while testing".
1960 "We taped a seat onto the front of this rocket there is also a cupholder for your whiskey near the ashtray"

We've come a long way in aviation.

A smaller problem that I see for bigger aircrafts would be that while regular planes to the descent lighter by many tones of fuel, an electric plane would have the exactly same weight as at takeoff.

6:01 Guy: we are very confident testing the plane in flight early 2020. Corona: oh hell nah you won't
