Hey Erica..I had touched base with you a few months ago about making candles in these small tins. At that point you had suggested tealights instead, but I went ahead and did my own testing anyway.
As you have given away so much free knowledge it's only fair to give it back. 🥰
So with these tins, they don't like the wick stickums.. they don't like being touched once the wax has been poured as well. I use a hot glue stick and they have been quite well behaved with those. With the stickums they were a nightmare, as half way through the burn, the oil & tin surface sort of remove the tack of the glue and the wicks just slipped and fell into the wax. 🤦
Hot glue is the way to go 👌

I’m so glad I saw this before I started as I need to measure my vessels and was not looking forward to putting hot wax in to measure. Funnily enough, a friend of mine gave me the exact way to measure yesterday! Love your tutorials x

Hi Erica, I love the look of your candles, especially the tin containers. I'm wondering if you face the same problem of the candle discolouring. Some people advised that it is because of the FO reacting to the metal container. Is that true? Could that be the problem?

I’m sure if you tried them or not, but I switched to glue dots to place my wicks and I don’t have any more issues with the wicks coming up.

Hi Erica. I have to use hot glue for wicking to my vessels. Those tabs just don’t work for me. I find my wicks floating in the wax. … Thank-you for all your advice and vids.
