Y Co-fundador de la Advertencia de Académicos Internacionales sobre Disrupción y Colapso Social. Su artículo “Adaptación Profunda” ha sido descargado por más de un millón y medio de personas y ha sido traducido a 13 idiomas, algo muy inusual para artículos académicos, lo que ha generado un movimiento internacional con miles de personas en diferentes partes del globo que integran una comunidad de reflexión, apoyo mutuo y adaptación al cambio de sus formas de vida y trabajo ante el colapso por las crisis sistémica y climática.
In this interview, we talk with the British writer, academic and activist Jem Bendell about his book "Breaking Together, a Freedom-loving Response to Collapse", recently released in Spanish as "Cayendo Juntos, una respuesta compasiva y eco-libertaria al colapso", which narrates with exhaustive research what are the roots of the collapse, already in development, of our economic, political, social, climatic and biospheric systems, thanks to the overreach of our Industrial Consumer Civilization.
Emeritus Professor Jem Bendell was the founder of the Initiative for Leadership and Sustainability (IFLAS) at the University of Cumbria, in the United Kingdom. And Co-founder of the Scholars' Warning on Societal Disruption and Collapse. His article "Deep Adaptation" has been downloaded by more than one and a half million people and has been translated into 13 languages, something very unusual for academic papers, which has generated an international movement with thousands of people in different parts of the globe who integrate a community of reflection, mutual support and adaptation to the change in their ways of life and work in the face of collapse due to the systemic and climatic crises.
