What a cool store! Thanks Les. Theresa was right the Manzanilla (wrapped grass) is Chamomile (calming) probably for tea but, l'm not certain that's it's only use.

899 a pound for ribeye that's amazing up here it's going for 14 $16 a pound this place looks amazing the closest thing we have to this store around here is the ethnic food aisle at Walmart🤣😂😅😅😂🤣omg Mexican junk food lol wow I've never seen Cactus for sale at least to eat really nice store ✌💗 happiness

Nice store and variety. Now the tamarind I know very well. The trees grow throughout the Caribbean and I have eaten the fruit since childhood. Now I buy them in boxes imported from the far east.
Here is what this power house of a fruit is good for: in beverage form it is used to treat diarrhea, constipation, fever and malaria. The bark and leaves are used to promote wound healing. It is rich in antioxidants, antimicrobial, anti cancer properties, may improve heart health and cholesterol. Contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, trace of vitaminC, K, B6, Folate and Selenium. Also contains, Magnesium, Potassium, Iron, Calcium, Phosphorus and Copper. So the simple little Tamarind packs a punch for the body. I just shell and eat them. In the days to come, such as they are, we will need knowledge of these simple plants for our healing.

Have a couple in our town..love getting fresh tortillas, sweet bread, fresh produce, only place to find hominy last year for my Texas caviar...

We have a big store like that in my town but I've never been in it. I wouldn't know what anything was or how to cook it anyway lol. That's a nice store y'all have there. Have a good evening Les and T!

Are you in Mexico? Doesn't look like it. Just a little neighborhood store. We have La Fiesta which is really big grocery store not far in San Antonio and we have La Michoacana meat markets that sells meat and some other foods. Its almost tamale making time. Chamomile is Manzanilla. I can get huge things of spices for Mexican food at the flea market on the south side of San Antonio. Good stuff.
